經過多次反覆修改
總算差不多了
離演講也只剩一個星期時間
今天起每天都要去補習班找老師練習

Kaohsiung is an excellent springboard for visits to other sightseeing interests in South Taiwan. Mom said the Taiwan High Speed Railway is a quick shortcut across Taiwan in the South---North direction. Because of the Taiwan High Speed Railway, you can have breakfast in Taipei and then dinner in Kaohsiung. You can even get off along the way to enjoy and appreciate the beautiful scenery and eat delicious food.
Last Sunday, Dad and Mom all had a day off, so we decided to go to Kaohsiung on a day trip. This trip was our first time traveling by the HSR. The train is sleek looking with spacious comfortable seats. This is the fastest train I had ever ridden. It offers passengers fast and quiet ride. The houses and trees passed by as fast as the wind. Our eyes were glued to the amazing scenery outside. We were at the train station at nine o’clock in Taipei and arrived in Kaohsiung by ten o’clock.
Once in Kaohsiung, we visited Taiwan’s largest department store a ten story building with a basement that covers an entire city block. By then I felt very hungry. Mom said Kaohsiung abound with water chestnuts. So we decided to enjoy water chestnuts and some seafood. The water chestnuts are cooked in any way you like. They even make it into ice cream.
After, we visited Ai Ho(愛河), a river running through Kaohsiung. We spent 50 dollars on a ride in the Love boat down the river. We thought the ride was very romantic. It almost felt like we were in Paris. At six p.m. we got on the HSR again and went back to Taipei. This was an unforgettable trip.
